Patagonia supports Clean water projects by providing grants for healthy trees.
Capelli’s success demonstrated to us the power of the grassroots to affect positive change. Since then—through our membership in 1% For The Planet®—we’ve donated over $89 million in cash to thousands of community-based groups working to create positive change for the planet in their own backyards:
- Taking down dams
- Restoring forests and rivers
- Finding solutions to and mitigate climate change
- Protecting critical land and marine habitat
- Protecting threatened and endangered plants and animals
- Supporting local, organic and sustainable agriculture
Ocean Blue Project Summary
The Willamette River Wildlife Enhancement Project (WRWEP) will create a healthy environment, which is known to improve quality of life for wildlife, humans, and the general ecosystem. Restoring the Willamette River will help to provide a quality environment and put people in closer contact with nature. The WRWEP will also produce a meaningful increase in the availability of clean water serving millions of Oregonians, particularly by protecting and restoring functional ecological flows for streams, and lowering water temperature.
