Cheap for one is not so cheap for the animals suffering in our one world Ocean. by Richard Arterbury
New Yorkers and beach cleanups will be seeing fewer foam takeout containers, coffee cuts, and packing peanuts make of Styrofoam. A few containers will remain being used at butcher shops or anyone business who can prove that getting rid of plastic foam containers will have a large negative backlash effect on their over all bottom line.
The foam ban, was approved back in 2013 by city lawmakers, but the restaurant industry put up a large fight to reverse this measure, all the while calming how cheap plastic pollution products truly are, however a judge stepped in and approved the ban.
Today if the businesses have until June 30 to rid the plastic pollution and all polystyrene, stock or they will receive fines up to $1,000 dollars per offense.
