Ocean Blue host weekly cleanups during the Spring, Summer, and Fall months. Winter Oregon Beach Cleanups are hit and miss. The king tides can consume the beaches in Oregon during the winter months, however the West winds push ocean current debris onto beaches leaving all kinds of non biodegradable plastic fragments and micro plastic mixed with woody debris.
For Beach Cleanups
If you have a group larger than 20 volunteers please email Karisa@oceanblueproject.org to organize things for the event.
Volunteers under 18 MUST have a parent or guardian present at the beginning of the cleanup to sign a liability waiver before the minor can participate. You can download the waiver again, at this link: or you can sign up with your parent or guardian prior to the beach cleanup event. We supply gloves, reusable buckets, and burlap bags. Remember to bring a reusable drinking container to help cut down on excess waste!
Be sure to follow our Facebook page for a list of all beach cleanup updates, photos, and debris removed photos. Share your ideas with Ocean Blue.
