Hours: Be available for 3-10 hours a week
Nature of project(s) and skills required:
Skills Required: Basic understanding of local ecology, patience, passion, dedication, and an open mind.
Experience with the following desired but not required: donor management software maintenance, fundraising, grant writing, education curriculum development, social media outreach, marketing, data entry, lab work, experience with children, technical and academic writing, event planning, liquid tissue culture production, community organizing, conflict resolution, and creative problem solving.
Administration: help to organize the groups as a whole by facilitating meetings and coordinating volunteers.
Fundraising/Grant Writing: contribute income generating opportunities including planning fundraisers and writing grant applications.
Research/Experimental Design: help design and implement experiments, analyze data, prepare materials, and research within the primary literature. Grow mycelia from various methods including spores, mycelia, cold sterilization.
Education and Outreach: create media, curriculum, and awareness through event planning, documentation, etc.
Building Relationships: Network with local schools and other allies, learn local history, social dynamics, and more.
The internship may be off-site, and most work will be conducted remotely.
