Beach Cleanups are a easy way to help protect our Ocean.
Steps to organize a beach cleanup:
1. Who owns the land or beach you would like have your beach clean up projects?
2. Obtain Signed permission, obtain permits, and set your date!
3. You will need buckets, reusable shopping bags, and drinking water! Cleaning up is easy and once you host your first beach cleanup or river cleanup it will be even easier!
4. After your group collects the found rubbish, you can add what you found on the progress report by adding as much information as possible of what was collected at your event. (This information is vital for the research and data we are collecting)
Plastic floats and waves bring the floating plastic to our beaches. Plastic ends up on beaches from all directions by land, wind, rivers, and floats in from the Ocean. The main goal is to remove as much plastic as we can and before the beach plastic further degrades while setting on a warm sandy beach.
